Guidance / Technical evidence

Evidence checklist

Prepare the photographs, drawings, trends and operating context that improve an industrial acoustic-cleaning fit decision.

Minimum useful evidence

The minimum package should establish five things: where the problem is, what the deposit is like, how the plant is affected, what currently removes it and where released material would go.

Location and geometry

  • General arrangement and section drawings with the affected zone marked.
  • Dimensions, access points, obstructions, internals and candidate mounting areas.
  • Photographs that preserve scale, orientation and date.
  • Casing, lining, insulation, refractory and structural information.

Deposit condition

  • Fresh and mature deposit photographs described separately.
  • Dry, damp, sticky, friable, fused, sintered or packed condition.
  • Temperature, moisture, particle size and chemistry where known.
  • Time from a clean condition to the observed restriction.
  • Relevant fuel, feedstock, reagent and process changes.
  • A clean or representative baseline.
  • Load, throughput, gas flow, fuel or feed during comparison periods.
  • The primary metric at a resolution suitable for the operating cycle.
  • Current cleaning events marked on the same trend where possible.
  • Known maintenance, control or process changes that could confound the result.

Current cleaning and removal

  • Cleaning device, location, medium, frequency and sequence.
  • Inspection evidence immediately before and after the best current clean.
  • Manual labour, access, isolation and outage requirements.
  • Hopper, screw, valve, conveyor or ash-removal arrangement.
  • Known capacity, plugging, re-entrainment or maintenance constraints downstream.

Site and package constraints

  • Temperature, pressure, materials and corrosion conditions.
  • Available compressed-air pressure, quality and capacity.
  • Controls, power and communication requirements.
  • Noise-sensitive areas, hazardous classification and combustible-dust obligations.
  • Installation, lifting, access and outage restrictions.

Evidence quality labels

Keep each input visibly classified:

  • Measured: taken from an identified instrument or inspection.
  • Customer estimate: informed but not directly measured.
  • Default: supplied by an assessment method with its source shown.
  • Unknown: unavailable and not guessed.

Confidence should fall when decision-critical information is missing. The result should name which evidence could change the fit or scope.

Handling sensitive files

Before upload or transfer, confirm who can access the files, the purpose, storage location, retention period, deletion route and whether the information can be used outside the assessment. Sylio does not currently accept plant files through the public site. Do not send plant material through an unreviewed channel.
